Deputy Minister of Transport intensifies festive season road safety campaign in Mpumalanga

The Deputy Minister of Transport, Ms. Sindisiwe Chikunga, will on Thursday, 14 December 2017 lead a road safety activation and awareness campaign in Elukwatini in Mpumalanga.
 
The activation is part of the Department of Transport’s Festive Season Road Safety Campaign.
 
As part of the campaign, Deputy Minister Chikunga will also extend her social responsibility programme, known as the Child-Headed Household Road Safety Educare to the children who lost their parents due to road crashes.
 
This initiative is an annual road safety social responsibility programme by Ms. Chikunga, targeting families led by children who lost their parents in road crashes.
 
Ms Chikunga will provide relieve parcels to such families.
 
She will also address members of the community to emphasise the importance of road safety during the festive season.
