Deputy Minister Rejoice Thizwilondi Mabudafhasi and MEC Nomafrench Mbombo open Prince Alfred's Hamlet Public Library, 14 Nov

On Friday, 14 November 2014, the Minister of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo and the national Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture, Ms Rejoice Thizwilondi Mabudafhasi will officially open the Prince Alfred’s Hamlet Public Library.

This state of the art facility was built in response to the growing needs of the Prince Alfred’s Hamlet community about two years ago.

The Witzenberg Municipality made an application for a new library to be built and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport responded accordingly by granting them a R5 million from our library services conditional grant.

This opening is a culmination of two years of hard work by the local municipality, provincial government and the national department of Arts and Culture.

There will be opportunities for interviews and photographs.
