Deputy Minister in the Presidency responsible for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Ms Pinky Kekana, will, on Tuesday 30 January 2024, conduct frontline monitoring and “Back To School Campaign” at Vukuhambe Special School in Mdantsane under the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality in the Eastern Cape province.
The Deputy Minister will be supported by officials from the Eastern Cape Department of Education and the local leadership to monitor and assess the state of readiness at the special school, and implement rapid interventions to address challenges that may impact teaching and learning.
Deputy Minister Kekana will also engage the Department of Education staff, school management, teachers, parents, the school governing body and learners.
