Deputy Minister Obed Bapela unveils Youth Development Agency local youth offices, 7 Feb

Ten new NYDA local youth offices for Ekurhuleni

The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) and Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) will on Friday, 7 February 2014 unveil ten new Local Youth Offices (LYOs) aimed at expanding the NYDA footprint in an attempt to deliver services to more young people. The new LYO’s situated in Katlehong 1; Katlehong 2; Vosloorus; Germiston; Tembisa; Kempton Park; Wattville; Daveyton; Kwa-Thema and Duduza are part of a partnership agreement between the NYDA and EMM to provide more youth with services.

Young people in these areas will now be able to access NYDA products and services, including information and applications on the NYDA Solomon Mahlangu Scholarship Fund, NYDA Grant Programme, Business Consultancy Services, Entrepreneurship Development Programme, Job Preparedness Programme, Career Guidance Information and Internet Services.

Deputy Minister in the Presidency responsible for Performance, Monitoring and Evaluation Obed Bapela together with NYDA Executive Chairperson Yershen Pillay and Ekurhuleni Executive Mayor Mondli Gungubele will officially unveil the offices where they will cut a ribbon and also sign a Memorandum of Agreement.
