Deputy Minister Njabulo Nzuza to monitor service delivery at the Pinetown Home Affairs Office in Ethekwini, KwaZulu-Natal 

The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Mr Njabulo Nzuza, will tomorrow, Thursday 21 May 2020, visit the Home Affairs office in Pinetown, Ethekwini, in KwaZulu-Natal. The purpose of the visit is to assess how essential services are provided to citizens during the lockdown.

He will also monitor the condition of the office after receiving several complaints from citizens who visited this facility. During the lockdown, it is required that all interactions are safe and that protective equipment is used properly to protect officials and citizens. 

 Home Affairs offices are open from 08h30 to 15h30, Monday to Friday. Limited services currently offered are:

  • issuing of Temporary Identity Certificates
  • issuing of Death Certificates
  • re-issuing of Birth Certificates
  • registration of new born babies
  • collection of IDs
     

Other services are not available as offices are on skeleton staff.
