Deputy Minister Mzwandile Masina to host stakeholder engagement session for black industrialists

Members of the media are invited to attend the Black Industrialists Stakeholder Engagement session that will be hosted by the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Mzwandile Masina:

Date: Thursday, 14 August 2014
Time: 7h00 - 10h00
Venue: Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), 19 Fredman Drive, Sandton

The session will highlight the policies and support offered by government in empowering black industrialists towards full-scale industrialisation and inclusive growth. The black business sector will have an opportunity to interact with the policy makers and other key stakeholders.

In his address to the National Council of Provinces in Parliament last month, Deputy Minister Masina said: “To facilitate a more meaningful participation of black people in the mainstream economy we will look at various ways of developing and sustaining black industrialists. We will also move decisively to develop bolder and sharper instruments to support black industrialists and youth entrepreneurs, but more importantly ensure they are viable and sustainable.”

RSVPs should be directed to Bongani Lukhele via telephone: 012 394 1643 or 079 5083 457 or e-mail: BLukhele@thedti.gov.za.
