Deputy Minister Manana to visit South African Airways as part of promoting Women in Scarce Skills programme

The Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Training, Mr Mduduzi Manana MP, will interact with high schools female learners as part of promoting Women in Scarce Skills programme at South African Airways (SAA), in Gauteng Province on Friday, 25 September 2015.

The Women in Scarce Skills Programme is aimed at encouraging female learners to take up careers in fields previously dominated by males. This campaign will expose female learners to career choices in Petrochemicals, Mining, Maritime, Aviation as well as Engineering, through visits to industries and workplaces.

The Deputy Minister will tour the SAA operations together with female learners from local high schools where SAA’s female engineers and technicians will demonstrate and share their experiences on their chosen careers.
