The Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture Hon. Makhotso Maggie Sotyu to lead the Arts and Culture Sector Tribute to Mama Winnie Mandela at the Joburg Theatre, Gauteng
The Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture, Ms Makhotso Maggie Sotyu in partnership with the Cultural & Creative Industries Federation of South Africa (CCFSA) will pay special tribute to the liberation struggle stalwart, Mama Winnie Madikizela-Mandela
Hosted under the theme “Art Mama Winnie Out: Celebrating the life and legacy of an icon through art,” the arts fraternity aims to honour and resurrect the values and spirit of Mama Winnie Mandela through high impact art expression depicting life of the struggle icon’s profound moments through musical theatre (music, acting , poetry, painting , dance, opera) and audio visual expressions.
