The Deputy Minister of Energy, Ms Barbara Thompson will tomorrow, 25 July 2013 at 10h00 officially switch-on the house of Gogo Mantombi Zuma at house No 2374 Otto Road at kwaDinabakubo -Molweni, Hillcrest in Durban for the first time.
The switch-on is the result of an article written by the Natal Witness Newspaper that was seen by the Deputy Minister, and upon seeing it, the Deputy Minister took it upon herself to ensure that Gogo’s house is connected to the electricity.
Now that the house has been electrified, Ms B Thomson has expressed a desire to visit the 109 year old Gogo to officially Switch-on her house and handover electrical appliances.
The Department of Energy therefore, invites members of the media to attend and witness the official switch-on of Gogo’s house.
