Deputy Minister Elizabeth Thabethe addresses funders and entrepreneurs, 4 Aug

Deputy Minister of Small Business Development, Ms Elizabeth Thabethe will address funders and entrepreneurs during Stakeholder Day which will be on Tuesday, the 4th of August 2015. This event is hosted by the Hope Factory. The Hope Factory is part of the Nation Building division of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).

The purpose of the Stakeholder Day is to acknowledge the funders such as Mercantile Bank and many others for appreciating the importance of investing and encouraging entrepreneurship. It is also to showcase excellent results of the Hope Factory’s Enterprise and Supplier Development programmes.

“In light of the pronouncement by President Jacob Zuma during the State of the Nation address that 30% of procurement be set aside for small to medium enterprises, as a department we embrace the initiative by the private sector to see supplier development as a critical component of transformation,” Deputy Minister Thabethe said.

The event is as follows:
Date: Tuesday, 4 August 2015
Time: 07h45 – 10h00
Venue: The Crowne Plaza, Rosebank

The Stakeholder Day provides The Hope Factory’s entrepreneurs with a platform to showcase their products and services whilst linking them to funders. This supplier expo is also open to the public.

“Sometimes the thin line between success and failure for an entrepreneur is to know that someone believes in you and your vision. That’s what our funders are doing and saying to our entrepreneurs with their immeasurable contributions,” Annie McWalter, CEO of The Hope Factory added.
