Deputy Minister Buti Manamela together with MEC Phophi Ramathuba will continue to visit tertiary institutions to assess academic state of readiness and to monitor the Safety Protocols for the Phased Re-opening of Campuses
Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Mr Buti Manamela (MP) and Member of Executive Council (MEC) of Health in Limpopo Province, Dr Phophi Ramathuba will continue to visit institutions of higher learning as part of his assessment of return to academic activities and monitoring of safety protocols in line with the phased re-opening of Post School Education and Training (PSET) sector under Lockdown Level 3.
On 23 May 2020, Minister Blade Nzimande announced a phased re-opening of academic activities across the sector. As the result, universities and TVET Colleges have already begun preparations to welcome back students and staff to campuses.
The Deputy Minister and MEC of Health will visit institutions of higher learning in Vhembe and Capricorn Districts to assess and monitor the state of readiness.
