Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation to convene an inter-generation dialogue with young women leaders in higher education in Sci-Bono, Johannesburg
The Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Mr Buti Manamela is convening a dialogue with young leaders in higher education at Sci-Bono on the 28 August 2023 in Newtown, Johannesburg.
The dialogue will bring together about 200 young women leaders from universities and TVET Colleges to have an inter-generational conversation with other women leaders who are veterans of South Africa’s liberation struggle, as well as leaders in business, labour movement, legislature, and other sectors of society.
The discussion will focus on the role played by women leaders in their respective sectors with the aim of sharing experiences and inspiring young women leaders to make their own contributions.
Dr Geraldine Fraser-Moleketi, who is the Chancellor of Nelson Mandela University and Chairperson of the Thabo Mbeki Foundation will be the keynote speaker.
