Deputy Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Hon Bernice Swarts outlines the achievements of Public Works’ Women Empowerment Programmes

As part of the International Women’s day celebration, the Deputy Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Hon. Bernice Swarts will outline the achievements of Public Works and Infrastructure’s women empowerment programmes towards addressing gender inequality.

The Deputy Minister will also address a cohort of women who are participating in a range of women empowerment programmes such as those who are currently on a 12 months empowerment initiative dubbed “Charlotte Maxeke Bring Her up Start up Hub”. The objective of this training is to empower women about starting and scaling up small businesses.

The event will be held under the theme “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.”
