Deputy Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Hon. Bernice Swarts together with the fellow District Development Model Champions will host the DDM Imbizo on fast-tracking service delivery within Dr. Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality in the North West
The Deputy Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure (DPWI), Hon. Bernice Swarts together with the DDM Champions will on Friday – 29 September 2023 – host District Development Model Imbizo on fast-tracking service delivery within Dr Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality in the North West Province. The Imbizo aims to fast-track service delivery and mitigate challenges that the community and country at large are grappling with, such as the high unemployment rate, neglect and vandalism of government infrastructure, rising poverty levels, and inadequate delivery of basic services.
Deputy Minister Swarts will be joined by the Executive Mayor of Dr. Kenneth Kaunda District Municipality, Hon. Cllr Nikiwe Num and the Executive Mayor of Maquassi Hills Local Municipality, Hon. Cllr Mzandile Feliti.
During the event, the Political Principals will meet and engage the community on a range of service delivery issues. The Political Principals will also join EPWP participants in the delivery of the much-needed community services such as pothole patching and litter picking.
