As part of celebrating women’s month, the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (DAFF) in partnership with Total SA will honour women entrepreneurs in the sector through the DAFF Female Entrepreneur Awards.
In line with the theme “Harnessing women’s talent for sustainable food security: A vision beyond 2030”, the DAFF Female Entrepreneur Programme acknowledges, encourages and increases participation of women, youth and people with disabilities in the agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector.
The main aim of the programme is to highlight the role played by women in food security, job creation, economic growth and poverty alleviation.
