The Portfolio Committee on Higher Education and Training will tomorrow, 23 September embark on an oversight visit to the North West University (NWU) to discuss, among other issues, transformation at the institution.
Members of the Committee will hold a meeting with the NWU Council, the institution’s management, Student Representative Council and other stakeholders at the university’s Potchefstroom campus. The meeting will start at 9h00.
The Committee, led by Chairperson Yvonne Phosa, will have a discussion with the stakeholders in attendance over transformation and its implementation at the institution.
The meeting will also be attended by, among others, representatives from both the Department of Higher Education and Training and the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) as well as organised labour representatives. In the afternoon, the Committee will meet with the Vuselela TVET College at 14:00.
