On 5 June 2013, the Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) led by its Chairperson, Mr Mfanozelwe Shozi will be presenting its Strategic Plan and Budget before the Portfolio Committee on Women and People with Disabilities. The presentation that will be presented before the Portfolio Committee will highlight CGE’s strategic objectives as informed by the Annual Performance Plan (APP) for the period 2013/14.
Amongst other things that would be shared with the Portfolio Committee is the 365 Days Report (on National Action Plan), Policy Briefings on: Land Study, Widowhood, Private Sector, Water Study and the Education Report. The Commission will also present to the Portfolio Committee; the progress made thus far in Employment Equity Investigative Public Hearings and observation thereof.
The CGE will highlight some of the key activities that are aimed at capacitating staff in dealing with International Instruments. Of key importance at this sitting, is for the Commission to report on progress made on deliverables as per the CGE’s mandate.
