Another delivery by the Department of Public Works

You are cordially invited to witness the official handing over of the renovated and rebuilt Chatsworth police station on 16 April 2014.

Public Works Minister Thulas Nxesi will be officially handing over the police station to the Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa following the R105 million refurbishments and building of the police station by the Department of Public Works.

The police station will serve 13 communities of about two hundred thousand people who face crimes house breakings, prostitution and drug related offences which are also catalysts for more serious crime such as rape, house-robbery and business robberies, and crimes against women and children.

The newly revamped police station comprises of about 10 000 m2 of facilities including a cell block, training facilities, control centre and a Community service centre.
