Airbone remembrance day wreath laying ceremony and parade

On Friday, 8 November 2013, at 09h30, 44 parachute regiment will be commemorating the fallen paratroopers at the parade ground in Bloemfontein. The airborne remembrance day is one of the unit traditions that are commemorated annually by the airborne regiment.

The main functionary for this event will be the General Officer commanding of the South African army infantry formation, Major General Lindile Yam. Forty four( 44) parachute regiment will be remembering the fallen comrades who lost their lives during battle, training and other causes while serving with dignity, honour and pride. 

This year 2013 remembrance parade will be commemorated with the unveiling of the granite tombstone for the 15 members that passed on in the Central African Republic. You are cordially invited to send a journalist/photographer to attend the event at 44 parachute regiment in Bloemfontein.
