On Thursday, 1 August 2013, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Ms Tina Joemat-Pettersson will accompany the agri-business sector and farmer's unions to a meeting with the Secretary General of the African National Congress, Mr Gwede Mantashe.
The agenda will focus on the current state of the agriculture sector, the role of the agri-business sector and organised agriculture.
Farmers are expected to call upon the Secretary General to support them in their efforts, and to promote policy certainty in regard to land reform and other matters.
