The Mpumalanga Department of Education will on Saturday, 7 September 2013 celebrate the Adult Education Week in an event scheduled as follows:

This is part of a global endeavour to promote the four goals of Adult Learners’ Week which are as follows:
- to leverage the profile and recognition of adult education
- to increase participation of adults in Adult Learning and Training Programmes
- to enhance networks amongst stakeholders involved in adult learning
- to promote national objectives for education and training.
At this event, there will be recognition of excellence in the following categories:
- best performance in Adult Learning Network
- performing centre in Maths for the class of 2012
- outstanding organisation and business contribution
- best community developer.
The MEC for Education, Mrs. Reginah Mhaule will grace the occasion.The media is invited.
