20 Year review of South Africa's Youth Employment

Statistician-General Pali Lehohla will deliver a 20 Year Review on the employment dynamics among the youth of the country by population group. Young people in general and in particular those who were previously marginalised were instrumental in bringing about democracy in the country and statistics present an analysis on how the youth have fared since the dawn of democracy in 1994. This will further respond to the concern of whether South African youth are reaping the benefits of freedom.

The media briefing will coincide with a sod-turning ceremony of the New Stats SA building by Honourable Minister in the Presidency, Jeff Radebe, alongside Public Works Minister, Honourable Thulas Nxesi, Minister of Finance, Honourable Nhlanhla Nene and the City of Tshwane Mayor, Councillor Kgosientso Ramokgopa.
