The MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, Ms Nelisiwe Moerane, will lead a consultative workshop to review the Gauteng provincial language policy framework of 2005. The event is part of activities by the province.
The conference will review the policy whose purpose is to enhance the promotion and development of the historically marginalised indigenous languages in Gauteng.
In attendance will be different stakeholders including the national language services, PanSALB and civil society.
