Gauteng Premier Nomvula Mokonyane, will this evening, 16 August deliver the keynote address at the launch of the South African Local Government Association's (SALGA's) Women's Commission. The commission will oversee and intervene in gender mainstreaming in municipal planning.
The launch of the commission coincides with SALGA’s National Women in Provincial and Local Government Summit where participants will share best practices; coordinate SALGA women’s commission activities and develops implementation plans. The national Women in Provincial and Local Government Summit takes place tomorrow, 17 August.
