Deputy Minister of Police, Honourable Fikile Mbalula introduces the South African Police Service (SAPS) trainees have successfully completed phase one of the Basic Training Learning Programme

Members of the media are cordially invited to attend the official passing out parade of the SAPS trainees who completed phase one of the Basic Training Learning Programme.

As part of the process to build policing capacity for realising the aspirations of the people of South Africa, young South Africans are recruited and trained to ensure our policing mandate. By providing quality training to Police Officials, the values that underpin our constitutional democracy are given effect.

Five hundred and seven trainees are on Parade and have successfully completed Semester One of the Basic Training Learning Programme. They will now proceed to participate in the Second Semester of the Basic Training Learning Programme, herein-after referred to as Field Training.

It is against this background that the Office of the Deputy Minister: Police, Honourable Fikile Mbalula (MP) invites all members of the media to the passing out parade.
