Limpopo Provincial Government hosts Provincial Government Research Seminar, 26 to 27 Sept

The Limpopo Provincial Government in collaboration with the University of Venda and University of Limpopo will host the second Limpopo Provincial Research Seminar on the 26th & 27th September 2017.

The Research Seminar will be held under the theme “Catalysing Socio-Economic Transformation Through Research, Development and Innovation”.

The Limpopo Research Forum (LRF) was established in 2007 to provide a system for evaluating and coordinating research projects to be conducted within the Province. This forum comprises of  representatives from all Provincial Government Departments, National Departments, Institutions of Higher Learning, FETs, Parastatals, District Municipalities and Research Institutions. It serves as a platform for sharing best practice amongst stakeholders in support of research conducted in the province.

The goal of the research seminar is to offer researchers in the Limpopo Province a platform to share ideas, experiences and research trends. It will provide the basis and empirical evidence for the Province’s future planning, policy making, monitoring and evaluation of service delivery improvement.

The Premier of Limpopo, Mr Chupu Stanley Mathabatha will officially open the Seminar.  Vice Chancellors, Deputy Vice Chancellors of Universities, Limpopo Province Director-General and delegates from various research institutions are expected to attend the seminar as well as participate in the Critical Thinking Forum which will take place during the seminar.
