Free State Tourism hosts workshop to empower artists, 26 Nov

The Free State creative industry will trade their microphones and leave the stage for the boardroom for a day as the Department of Economic, Small business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs in partnership with Lesedi FM will host a workshop to empower Free State artists on various developmental aspects and make them see their art as business.

The workshop is part of the department’s service delivery programme announced by MEC Mosebenzi Zwane during the 2014/15 budget speech. The outcome of this intervention is to assist emerging Free State artists so that Free State can have a pool of not only talented but also business inclined artists to take Free State creative industry to a higher level.

Those who will be attending the workshop have been identified through different Municipal offices in the province. Participating artists are from the following genres; Gospel, House, RNB, Soul, Hip Hop, Kwaito, Jazz, Reggae, Afro Pop and traditional to mention but few.

The attendance is strictly per invitation.
