Deputy Minister Buti Manamela addresses Young Africa Works Summit, 29 Oct

Deputy Minister in the Presidency for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr Buti Manamela will tomorrow 29 October address the Young Africa Works Summit. This is the first summit organised by the Mastercard foundation and it will be hosted in Cape Town.
 
The theme of the summit is “Practical solutions for lifelong success” focusing on employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in the agricultural sector for the youth.
 
Deputy Minister Manamela is therefore expected to highlight government’s commitment to provide young people with economic opportunities and allowing them to realise their full potential through optimal access to opportunities.
 
The National Youth Policy 2020 introduced interventions to promote economic participation for youth in the rural areas. Through interventions mooted in the National Youth Policy 2020 for economic participation of youth in rural areas, young people will be provided with skills and training in agriculture and agro-processing among others.
