KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Finance, Ms Ina Cronjé in partnership with Ilembe district municipality will on Thursday, 27 August 2009, take the department’s Financial Literacy campaign to the Ilembe district to honour and recognise unsung heroines who are elderly women, widows and people with disabilities of this district.
The event will also be attended by other government departments and agencies including the Justice Department which will advise the women on issues relating to estates, maintenance and legal advice. Other departments will include Health, Social Development and the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA).
