Public Enterprises Committee to conduct oversight at Durban Port

The Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises will conduct a two-day oversight visit at Transnet operations at the Port of Durban from 3-4 February 2022.

Transnet has undergone a restructuring process to incorporate the National Ports Authority and the Minister of Transport has recently unveiled the private sector investment at the port. The purpose of the visit is to assess and understand how this incorporation will affect the financial viability and efficiency of the port.
