Dept’s adjudication team hard at work selecting the province best provincial Female Entrepreneur Awards 2013

The Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development’s Female Entrepreneur Awards 2013’s adjudication team has started with the mammoth task of selecting the province Best Female Entrepreneur in the province. This after receiving 44 entrants for the competition. and none of them has been disqualified.

The Female Entrepreneur Awards Competition 2013 is an annual event to acknowledge the contribution of women to agriculture and poverty eradication. It also seeks to appreciate women who are leaving an indelible mark in the Agricultural Sector.

The categories are:

  • Best Female worker in the sector
  • Best subsistence producer
  • Top Entrepreneur: Smallholder
  • Top Entrepreneur :Processing
  • Top Entrepreneur: Export
  • MEC Special Awards
  • Overall Winner

The prize-money will be disclosed towards the run up to the awards ceremony, and it will be held on the 7 August 2013 in Port Nolloth. It also forms part of Woman’s month festivities.
