National Science Week will be launched on 2 August 2014 at the University of the Free State.

The focus week will take place from 4 to 9 August at venues across the country. It celebrates science involving various stakeholders and role players conducting science-based activities. National Science Week is an initiative of the Department of Science and Technology and is implemented by SAASTA.

This year’s theme is ‘Today’s Science, tomorrow’s World’.

Events

The Science Education Centre at the University of Limpopo intend to spark young minds with a line-up of edutainment activities in the fields of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and innovation (STEMI).

Schools and the general public are encouraged to participate in these free activities.
