Minister to host dinner briefing in Western Cape

Labour Minister Membathisi Mdladlana cordially invites you to a dinner briefing to be held at the department’s Western Cape provincial offices on Thursday, 18 June.

As you are aware, the Minister has recently been re-appointed together with other new ministers during the president’s announcement of the new Cabinet.

The purpose of the briefing therefore includes spelling out his plans for the new term, give members of the media an opportunity to engage him on past achievements/challenges/shortcomings.

Since the briefing takes place on the eve of his Budget Vote address of Parliament the following day (June 19) the occasion also provides an opportunity to engage him and the department’s senior officials in that regard as well.

It is also worth noting that on the day of the briefing, he will have just arrived from the International Labour Conference of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in Geneva, Switzerland where a number of labour market-related issues of the world were discussed, which could also be of interest to you.
