Labour Minister, Membathisi Mdladlana is scheduled to hold an Imbizo with seasonal workers in the Botrivier area on Sunday, 31 October 2010. This programme is in line with the department’s vision of ensuring constant consultations with communities on how best to address labour related challenges.
The minister’s visit comes after Basic Conditions of Employment concerns have been raised by seasonal workers in this area.
In a bid to ensure that these workers are aware of their rights and entitlements, Minister Mdladlana deemed it necessary to afford these workers an opportunity to raise their concerns directly with him.
