The National Development Agency Act 108 of 1998 intends:
- to establish a National Development Agency aimed at promoting an appropriate and sustainable partnership between the Government and civil society organisations to eradicate poverty and its causes;
- to determine the objects and functions of the Agency;
- to determine the manner in which it is to be managed and governed;
- to regulate its staff matters and financial affairs; and
- to provide for connected matters.
