The Unemployment Insurance Amendment Act 51 of 1975 intends:

  • to amend the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1966 [repealed in 2002], so as:
    • to increase the maximum earnings in respect of which contributions are payable;
    • to reduce the period within which certain contributions or other payments due, or purporting to have been paid, to the fund may be recovered;
    • to reduce the period for which certain prescribed records are to be retained; and
  •  to provide for incidental matters.

1 October 1975 (Gazette 4806 of 1 August 1975)
