MEC Donald Grant and the Head of Department, Penny Vinjevold, will tomorrow brief media on the outcomes of an independent study, into the quality of learner outcomes in the critical foundation phase of schooling.
The presentation will also include details on a number of steps to improve literacy and numeracy outcomes in 2011 and beyond.
The study was done by a research team from the Department of Economics at the University of Stellenbosch for the Western Cape Education Department (WCED).
