17th Public Sector Trainers’ Forum Conference
Members of the media are invited to cover the keynote address by the Minister of Public Service and Administration, Mr Collins Chabane during the 17th Public Sector Trainers’ Forum (PSTF) Conference taking place on the 24 to the 26 of November 2014.
The conference is hosted by the National School of Government. The Minister will be joined by the Mayor of Tshwane, Mr Kgosientso Ramokgopa and other esteemed international guest speakers from South Korea, Kenya and the United Kingdom.

Conference objectives:
The PSTF strives to achieve the following objectives within the public sector:
1. Advance the development and growth of Human Resource Development (HRD) practitioners;
2. Contribute to the awareness and adoption of quality standards;
3. Create a platform for discussion, implementation and possible reviews of policy frameworks
4. Foster partnerships with stakeholders to improve HRD practices
The Public Sector Trainers’ Forum was established in 1997 as a non- statutory body to advocate HRD within the Public Service. The Forum provides a platform for collaborative interaction towards improved relationships and organisational performance.
By bringing the public service at national, provincial and local government level, parastatals, the further and higher education sectors as well as the public sector, the PSTF aims to build capacity to better respond to public sector training and development needs. International HR Practitioners will be presenting papers on best practices during the conference.
