The Minister of Social Development Dr Zola Skweyiya will meet with his Cuban
counterpart, Minister of Labour and Social Security in Cuba Mr Alfredo Morales
Cartaya on Thursday, 8 November at the Arabella Sheraton Hotel, Cape Town
during the Cuban Joint Bilateral Commission.
Dr Skweyiya recently visited Cuba and signed a co-operation agreement with
the Cuban Minister.
The agreement formalises co-operation in the following areas: a)
Comprehensive Social Security, b) Services to women, youth and Children
Community Development, Poverty Alleviation and training of social service
professionals.
