The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) is hosting two-day workshops,
covering the Export Marketing and Investment Assistance (EMIA) scheme, export
development and marketing, logistical issues on exports, value chain, freight
forwarding, market segmentation, targeting foreign markets and buyers,
positioning, exhibition training and country reports.
Amongst others, topics covered will include incentives offered to exporters
and proposed rule changes to the existing scheme. Companies must be established
in the local market and must have been exporting for at least two years.
