President Thabo Mbeki will hand out the Thabo Mbeki Matric Merit Award to 18
of the country's top matric achievers on 25 January 2007, 13h00, at the
Presidential Guesthouse in Pretoria.
The awards are administered by the Thabo Mbeki Education Trust and are given
to two of the most outstanding matric learners from each province.
Recipients of the Award are required to become ambassadors of the Thabo
Mbeki Education Trust, communicating their achievements in order to encourage
matrics to strive for academic excellence.
Members of the media are invited to attend and requested to arrive at 12h45.
