Memorial Lecture

President Thabo Mbeki will deliver the 8th annual Steve Biko Memorial
lecture on 12 September 2007, at the University of Cape Town. The President
will reflect on the relevance of the legacy of black consciousness, especially
its intellectual and political ideals, in the current context of South Africa.
The memorial lecture will form part of commemorative events to mark the 30th
anniversary of Steve Biko's death and is entitled Biko 3030.
