President Mbeki congratulates Ms Hellen Zille

President Thabo Mbeki has, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of
South Africa, congratulated Democratic Alliance (DA) leader, Ms, Helen Zille,
for her election as party leader yesterday.
The President telephoned Ms Zille last night and wished her success in her
work as leader of the Official Opposition in our Parliament.
The President also conveyed his congratulations to the President-elect of
the French Republic, Mr Nicolas Sarkozy. Mr Sarkozy will himself contact
President Mbeki later this week.
