Parliamentary Association (CPA)

South Africa is currently hosting the 38th Commonwealth Parliamentary
Association's (CPA) Africa Region conference in Cape Town. One of the main
objectives of the CPA is to promote and maintain gender equality and respect
for human rights and freedom.
President Thabo Mbeki will address delegates at the conference on 27 July
2007 under the theme, "Parliamentarians building strong democratic institutions
for promoting development in the 21st century."
