The Minister of Finance Trevor A Manuel, MP will table this year's
provincial budgets and expenditure review in Parliament on 5 September 2007.
This publication provides in depth analysis of spending trends in the provinces
over five years.
The National Treasury invites the media to a workshop, which will be held on
the same day. During the first session National Treasury officials will engage
with journalists about spending trends and the performance of the following
sectors: education, housing, health, roads and transport, social development
and agriculture on the provincial front.
The second session will take the form of a briefing which will be addressed
by Minister Manuel, Deputy Minister Jabu Moleketi and the National Treasury
Director General Lesetja Kganyago.
