The old Sports and Recreation South Africa Commission (SASC) office in
Centurion, occupied by Sport and Recreation South Africa (SRSA) since the
restructuring of sport earlier this year is finally closing down, with staff
moving to the new SRSA office in Vermeulen Street, Pretoria.
From Monday, 3 July, a new chapter begins when the final remnants of the
SASC are integrated into the SRSA. Most notable will be the relocation of the
information and research unit, including its library, display material, and
considerable information resources to the new building, where it will be
located in much expanded and modernised facilities on the mezzanine floor.
The old switchboard number (012) 677 9700 will be replaced by (012) 304
5000. All email addresses that ended with 'sasc.org.za' will be replaced by
'srsa.gov.za'.
The rest of the SRSA staff, presently located at the old Schoeman Street
offices, will be moving to the new building during the course of July.
