South African Police Service on congratulating Springbok Rugby
team

The SAPS congratulates the Springboks

21 October 2007

The members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) would like to add our
voices to those of millions of South Africans and congratulate the Springbok
Rugby team on their magnificent game on Saturday night in Paris.

Our Bokke, under the leadership of captain John Smit, have conducted
themselves with discipline, pride and professionalism throughout the Rugby
World Cup 2007. As police officers who are expected to conduct ourselves in the
same manner, we respect and admire our rugby team and, along with our fellow
South Africans, are exceptionally proud of them.

The warm and wonderful people of our beautiful country are united in pride.
The South African Police Service is sure that we can harness this national
harmony and, together, rid our communities of those with evil in their hearts
who seek to harm others.

Congratulations to the Springbok Rugby team on a job well done. We cannot
wait for you to bring the Webb Ellis Cup home!
