A series of events are to take place nationally to mark Child Protection
Week.
The Child Protection Week 2007 campaign was launched by the Minister of
Social Development, Dr Zola Skweyiya on 28 May at a Symposium on tackling child
poverty, at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg.
The campaign focuses on mobilising all sectors of society to promote the
well-being of children. This year's campaign also highlights the fight against
child poverty, in addition to focusing on child protection.
