SAPS Women’s Network to hold Beat Project, 28 Jun

continues to lend a helping hand to the needy

The Women's Network for Legal Services in the South African Police Service
(SAPS) will be holding a ‘Beat Project’ on 28 June 2006 at 12:00 at Lotus
Gardens Secondary School, Lotus Gardens, Pretoria West.

The project is called “Building Extreme Achievements Together (BEAT)”. The
project is meant for identifying and adopting a place of safety for children
from disadvantaged spheres of life, which is in line with the objective of the
SAPS Women's Network of promoting external services to women and children who
have fallen victims of serious and violent crimes.

The project has been undertaken in conjunction with the Christian Social
Council in Kwaggasrand. One of the main aims is to provide support to the two
schools in Lotus Gardens, namely Brindhavean Primary School and Lotus Secondary
School, near Kalafong Hospital. There are many other facets to the project, the
short term one is to hand over sporting equipment to schools.
