Deputy Foreign Minister Sue van der Merwe will hand over a cheque of R3
million to the Tanzanian High Commissioner Emmanuel Mwambulukutu to be used
towards increasing food security in Tanzania.
Tanzania has experiencing a severe drought in recent years resulting in 3
764 843 people requiring food assistance. The country has also been
experiencing severe crop devastation by armyworms in the South Western
Highlands and southern region.
